Bedroom Wall I
02:00
|
|||
Holding hands
On a broken bed.
Never planned
Where the day had led,
Yet here we are.
Locking eyes,
And throw the key away,
Language lacks
The proper words to say
How we feel.
Draw the brush across the page,
A world is born.
I drew your portrait
On your bedroom wall.
Though I got your eyes wrong,
You said you loved it all.
We drew our portrait
In the midnight sky,
Nebulas and planets,
And rockets in our eyes.
The stars are falling,
Stain the landscape gold,
The sky may slowly darken,
But the portrait always glows.

Bedroom Wall II
02:25
|
|||
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey encompass you and I,
Grey encompass you and I,
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey encompass you and I,
Grey encompass you and I,
I drew your portrait on your bedroom wall,
And though I got your eyes wrong,
Still you sing me love songs.
You said you loved it all,
And though you never realize,
The stars are shining in your eyes,
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey encompass you and I,
Grey encompass you and I.
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey encompass you and I,
Grey encompass you and I.
I drew your portrait in the midnight sky,
So wide, we have to turn our heads
To see the portrait end to end.
You reached so high,
Try to pluck the portrait from the stars,
Seems it’s just a bit too far,
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey encompass you and I,
Head to toe and all the sky,
The portrait fades,
Shades of grey envelope you and I,
Blur the contrast in our eyes.

In The Ocean
02:50
|
|||
My head can’t stay above the water.
But then I never need to breathe.
Adrift in dangers all aquatic,
And I can’t leave.
My arms can’t stay above the ocean.
I guess I never learned to swim.
Eroded by the water’s motion
As I’m worn thin.
In a locked box
In the ocean.
Waves wash over me.
I don’t talk much,
But I’ve spoken.
Let the waves say what they will.
I sense some danger in the water,
I feel it biting at my feet.
A sense of certain doom surrounds me.
And it runs deep.
The ocean’s water swells around me.
And rainclouds gather overhead.
Amid the ever-growing ocean,
And the seabed.
In a locked box
In the ocean.
Waves wash over me.
I don’t talk much,
But I’ve spoken.
Let the waves say what they will.
This world of never-ending water.
The seas of ever-growing fear.
My footing never felt too stable,
Yet I stand here.
In a locked box
In the ocean.
Waves wash over me.
I don’t talk much,
But I’ve spoken.
Let the waves say what they will
About me,
About meee
About me
About meee
About me.

Onward We Go
02:53
|
|||
Raging like a beast in a cage.
But the bars don't bend, never ends
As you stand, like a pillar of salt.
Had to look back, now you're tied to the past,
But forward we fly, with our heads held high
And the patchwork of our past below.
Wings won't waste away,
As onward we go.
Changing like a handful of clay,
Life we exhale in the unfinished male
Like a fool, not knowing our place,
Whose help will we call, when we stand above all?
But forward we fly, with our heads held high
And the patchwork of our past below.
Wings won't waste away,
As onward we go.
Shards of shattered past
Leave our knuckles raw.
Not the worst we've had,
But not very far.
Gasping like a fish on the beach.
Once we felt fear, with the ground coming near,
Now it's found us, and we do what we can.
Freeze in tracks, and hope we come back
But forward we fly, with our heads held high
And the patchwork of our past below.
Wings won't waste away,
As onward we go.
To where we had known and been known
For the words in our mouths.
But if we stick to our guns,
They won't stick around.
